Overview

Nakupuna Companies is seeking a Staffing Manager to provide data analysis, complex problem-solving, and leadership supporting the execution of a large size, multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP). The Staffing Manager will serve as an expert-level business analyst by analyzing organizational frameworks, identifying weak points, and proposing improvements. The Staffing Manager will then measure the effectiveness of the improvements in execution and will be responsible for producing management reports for implementing management procedures and will report data findings to the Program Manager as well as the Army client. This role reports to the Manager, Workforce Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness.

    Apply PMI Project Management and Nakupuna human resource principles and policy for managing, communicating, and reporting on project staffing
  • Maintain and ensure confidentiality of personally identifiable information and other sensitive employee information such as salaries and personal information of staff
  • Develop and maintain relationships, and interface directly with customer, project management team and technical staff
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and distribute documentation to internal and external stakeholders to build understanding of staffing needs
  • Work with team management to prioritize staffing needs
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor retention metrics
  • Introduce retention strategies
  • Participate in daily Agile team meetings and client and milestone meetings to maintain ongoing awareness of project staffing status
  • Maintain a staffing tracker spreadsheet - including GFE/certifications, req training, CAC expiration, & other Army & Nakupuna information
  • Communicate to staff when renewals, training, access needed, etc
  • Respond to staffing data calls from Army
  • Provide staffing content for Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLS)
  • Manage staff system access requests/tracking (and all Army access requests)
  • Provide recruiting and staffing updates
  • Capture staffing & recruiting needs
  • Assist in resume screening for new hires
  • Manage new hire info in internal Applicant Tracking system (iCIMS) and other recruiting tools as applicable
  • Attend the recruiting meeting & ensure funded, contingent, and pipeline positions are accurate
  • Manage position description documentation
  • Manage Nakupuna new hire welcome emails/form submission
  • Track and manage internal & Army onboarding access requirements for new hires
  • Be the primary point of contact for all onboarding process management
  • Provide training to new hires to ensure they know the proper processes, requirements, and forms for onboarding
  • Introduce new hires to the team and community


Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with 6 or more years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC and/or private sector preferred.

Skills/Qualifications: Certification in SAFe Lean Portfolio Manager preferred. Microsoft Office Suite experience.

Clearance Requirements: This position requires a current Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Work Location: Work location will be in Arlington, Virginia, with an option for hybrid work.
