Position Summary

Project Managers within IMDS Products and Services deliver industry leading digital solutions by leveraging their experience of project delivery, client interactions and cross discipline resource management. The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of multiple projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. The Project Manager ensures customers receive a quality product or service which meets or exceeds all the customer requirements. This role focusses on the delivery of Inform and Vision software products and other IMDS software products as assigned.

WORK LOCATION AND TRAVEL:

  • Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and overseas occasionally.

Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL:

  • Set up and monitor project budgets. Provide revenue and cost advice to include relevant cost accruals as applicable. Participate or directly engage in forecasting project revenue and cost.
  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded project schedules with detailed work breakdown structure (WBS).
  • Day to day management of assigned projects, including the planning of project operations and the supervision of personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Daily liaison on projects and systems to identify any issues and ensure project is running as planned.
  • Finding solutions where required to mitigate project risk.
  • As appropriate, coordinate with discipline teams and Sales/Commercials personnel in the development of Bids and Proposals.
  • Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Create and manage status reports and adjust schedules or plans as required.
  • Prepare project reports, forecast, variance explanations and other technical and financial reports for management, client, or others.
  • Maintain training requirements as directed by management.
  • Implementation of HSE Management Systems and compliance with local regulations and preparation.
  • Work in accordance with Oceaneering Project Management framework.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Cost, Schedule and Scope management.
  • Experience of using Primavera and/or Microsoft project.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must hold/maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel.

DESIRED:

  • Formal Project Management qualification from recognized institution.
  • Experience delivering new/novel technology.
  • Offshore / oilfield operational experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Ability to work effectively with multi-discipline teams.
  • Focused on delivering scope to meet customer needs, whilst ensuring scope creep does not occur.
  • Ensure that others involved in a project or effort are kept informed about developments and plans.
  • Ability to establish and maintain project priorities.
  • Ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others.
  • Ensures that regular consistent communication takes place within area of responsibility.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
