INSTRUCTIONAL-TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS IN FINANCE

The Position

The Department of Finance in the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one or more non-tenure Instructional Track Faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor of Instruction or Practice, Associate Professor of Instruction or Practice, or Full Professor of Instruction or Practice starting August 19, 2026. We are particularly seeking candidates with backgrounds in wealth management, real estate or commercial banking, but we would also consider candidates with other finance backgrounds.

This is a teaching position without research responsibilities. Rank will be based on relevant experience and record of achievement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. This position may range from 50% time (teaching 4 classes/year) to 100% time (teaching 8 classes/year) and includes a 1-7 year contract, determined by rank and experience, with benefits. The Department

The Department of Finance supports one of the largest and most in-demand programs at the Tippie College of Business, serving more than 1,200 undergraduate finance majors-Tippie's most declared major-and playing a vital role in the College's expanding online MBA program. Assistant/Associate/Professor of Practice: Bachelor's, MBA, or other Masters' degree and significant (5+ years) relevant work experience

Assistant/Associate/Professor of Instruction: Earned doctorate or strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed before August 19, 2026.

• Demonstrated track record of teaching excellence, or demonstrated potential for developing strong teaching excellence as indicated by experience such as high-quality coaching and mentorship of employees
• Effective communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Effective business training program delivery and overall organizational leadership skills.

We particularly seek candidates who are prepared to teach multiple courses (depending on their background) in wealth management, real estate or commercial banking, or other courses depending on their finance background.
