Position Title: Building Maintainer
Wage: $18.00 - $19.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 4:00am - 2:00pm QPS Employment Group is seeking a dependable Building Maintainer for a company in Hanover Park, IL. In this role, you will keep the facility clean, safe, and running smoothly. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining a well-kept workplace and can handle a mix of cleaning, light maintenance, and general upkeep. Building Maintainer Responsibilities: - Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas - Sweeps and scrubs floor with power cleaner - Cleans area rugs for company events - Washes walls, windows, door panels and sills - Empties wastebaskets - Transports trash and waste to disposal area - Sets up tables and chairs in lunchroom and conference center and sets up for events - Performs small equipment repair when needed - Paints and cleans surfaces - Fills eye glass cleaning stations - Performs snow removal from sidewalks - Keeps outside grounds free from litter - Performs monthly building check for general maintenance Requirements for Building Maintainer: - At least 2 years of recent janitorial, maintenance or building services experience required - Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods - Comfortable using power cleaning equipment and basic hand tools - Basic knowledge of minor repairs (plumbing, painting, general maintenance) is a plus - Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively schaumburg@qpsemployment.com IND133 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
