Position Title: Facility Security Officer (FSO)

Location: San Diego, CA

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) with strong expertise in SAP-E (Special Access Program - Enterprise) security to support sensitive U.S. Navy and DoD programs. The ideal candidate will manage and oversee all aspects of industrial security operations, ensuring compliance with government regulations, contractual security requirements, and Special Access Program protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary Facility Security Officer (FSO) for Naval and DoD program support.
Manage and administer the facility's security program in compliance
Oversee all SAP-E security operations, including accreditation, implementation, and continuous compliance.
Coordinate with Government Security Representatives (GSRs), Program Security Officers (PSOs), and Naval stakeholders.
Maintain personnel security processes
Manage classified material handling, storage, transmission, and destruction procedures.
Conduct security education, training, and awareness programs for cleared employees.
Support security audits, inspections, and self-assessments; implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with physical security requirements for classified spaces and SAP facilities.
Maintain and manage security documentation, reports, and records in government systems (e.g., DISS, NISS, JADE).
Provide guidance to leadership and program teams on security risk mitigation.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience as an FSO or industrial security professional.
Demonstrated experience supporting SAP-E programs.
Active Top-Secret clearance required
Experience supporting Naval or maritime defense programs is highly desirable.
Proficiency with security systems such as DISS, NISS, and JPAS (legacy).
