Position Responsibilities

Development:

  • Develop and maintain full-stack features using Angular (TypeScript) on the frontend and Java/Spring Framework on the backend
  • Write clean, testable code following established patterns and best practices
  • Build RESTful APIs and integrate with Oracle and SQL Server databases using Hibernate ORM
  • Implement responsive UI components using Angular Material, DevExtreme, and Bootstrap
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
Client Support & Debugging
  • Investigate and resolve client-reported issues by analyzing application logs
  • Review server logs, database queries, and application traces to diagnose production problems
  • Debug issues across the full stack - from Angular frontend errors to Java backend exceptions
  • Reproduce client issues in development/test environments
  • Document troubleshooting steps and root cause analysis
  • Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide timely responses to client support escalations
Collaboration
  • Work closely with senior engineers to implement solutions and learn best practices
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with QA team to ensure quality standards are met
  • Assist with deployment activities and post-deployment monitoring

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Experience: 0-2 years of professional software development experience

Core Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework (Angular, React, or Vue)
  • Understanding of SQL and relational databases
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and web services
  • Basic understanding of version control (Git)
  • Ability to read and interpret application logs
Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Customer service mindset with patience for troubleshooting
  • Willingness to learn new technologies quickly

Compensation Info

The U.S. salary range for this position is $53,000.00-$93,250.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
