Fluid Systems Engineer
Overview Department 410 Future Plant Studies (FPS) Propulsion Plant Fluid Systems has openings for highly motivated engineers to support the development of new submarine propulsion plant designs for the Steam Plant Fluids team. The newest propulsion plant will be the most advanced the U.S. Navy has ever fielded which presents significant technical challenges. There is maximum potential to influence the overall design of the boat. The candidate will work in a multi-discipline engineering group whose purpose is to develop future submarine propulsion plant concepts that meet the U.S. Navy's challenging technical goals while minimizing development, acquisition, and life cycle costs. In order to achieve this, the candidate will lead teams to develop these new ideas and concepts and work to bring them to fruition. Qualifications Required:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Marine/Ocean, or Nuclear engineering degree
