Data Analyst - Performance Services, Enterprise Analytics Operations

What you will be doing:

The purpose of this data analyst role centers on leading and executing data analysis processes to deliver actionable insights and value for the organization. This position works in collaboration with the INsights Operations team; the BI Foundation team; the Portfolio Product Management team(s); the Technical Product team(s); various project sponsors and stakeholders to provide value across multiple data projects within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Development - 65%

  • Lead or complete data analysis processes to deliver project and/or stakeholder value.

  • Develop routines for key metrics and standard analysis content.

  • Conduct analysis on large data sets (over 1 billion records) using SQL and other languages like Python

  • Prototype and model new data sources to facilitate analytics.

Business Intelligence - 25%

  • BI dashboarding skills using Tableau (bonus for other BI tools, especially Power BI).

  • Use case work akin to building business requirement documentation.

  • Develop visualization templates and create repeatable visualizations to identify performance improvement opportunities.

  • Enhance existing analytics through processes through scripts and new standard content.

Research and Innovation - 10%

  • Research new methods and technologies to accomplish projects.

  • Evaluate tools and techniques to enhance analytics automation and capabilities.

  • Stay updated with analytics best practices and recommended improvements.

Required Qualifications

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 2 or more years

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

Skills:

  • Ability to understand complex technical projects - must understand software and IT technology terminology and issues.

  • Written and Verbal Communication Skills - Communicating clearly in both written and verbal form.

  • Project Management and Organizational skills.

  • Microsoft Project and like applications.

  • Self-guided and motivated. Practices active listening.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.

  • Experience with Databricks, MS SQL, Tableau, Power Bi, and other dashboarding tools, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to tell compelling stories from data.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with colleagues at all levels.

  • Healthcare experience or background a plus.

Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom).

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar.

  • 0 - 3 years' experience with data analysis or similar work.

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, technology, data science, or related field(s).

Working Conditions: Remote Travel Requirements: No travel required Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Premier's compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier's internal salary range for this role is $62,000 - $93,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
