Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and manage full-cycle AP responsibilities. This role includes invoice processing, vendor payments, issue resolution, and month-end close support.

Key Responsibilities




  • Process high volumes of third-party and intercompany invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper approvals, and matching to purchase orders and shipping documentation across multiple entities



  • Code invoices accurately, including due dates and general ledger information, and enter data timely into the SAP ERP system



  • Prepare and execute weekly payment runs via check, wire, and electronic payments, ensuring proper remittance documentation



  • Leverage early payment discounts by adhering to vendor payment terms



  • Maintain organized accounts payable records, both electronic and physical



  • Research discrepancies and respond to AP inquiries from vendors, management, and internal departments



  • Manage monthly accounts payable close activities



  • Process daily customer wire payments and ensure accurate transaction posting



  • Perform additional duties as assigned




Education & Experience




  • 1-3 years of accounts payable experience



  • High school diploma or GED required; equivalent education and experience considered




Required Skills




  • Experience with automated accounting systems and ERP platforms



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills



  • High level of accuracy, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information



  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
