KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Contract Negotiations to join our Strategic Sourcing, Procurement organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute category management strategies in collaboration with category lead and key stakeholders, inclusive of needs analysis, sourcing, contracting, negotiation and vendor management for third-party content products and services
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on commercial model development beyond traditional data licensing to drive KPMG's evolving GenAI infused cross-functional GTM and service delivery models
  • Build and support short-term and long-term sourcing plans and vendor strategies in partnership with the category lead and key stakeholders, which include the major data funders and data & analytics practice leaders at the firm
  • Manage and support cross functional teams throughout the sourcing, negotiation, contracting and vendor management processes
  • Collaborate and partner across various legal, compliance and risk mitigation departments to ensure adherence to policies and contractual terms
  • Team with category lead to identify and implement opportunities for process re-engineering and continuous improvement; monitor, refine, and report on third-party spend, negotiated savings, contracting cycle times, and operational KPIs
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum seven years of recent experience in relevant strategic sourcing and contracting background in the third-party content space or management experience leading business research operations where duties included sourcing, structuring and funding third party content contracts, demonstrating success in positions of increasing complexity
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree within relevant discipline required is required
  • Deep knowledge of standard third-party content providers, their data products and commercial models, such as Bloomberg, Factset, Gartner, Lexis/Nexis, Moodys, S&P, and others; must be technology savvy with advanced skills in MS Office, BI Analytics, workflow, and P2P software such as Ariba or Coupa
  • Proven track record of negotiating large, complex data licenses with favorable prices, terms and conditions
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative and influencing skills to effectively navigate a complex management and organization structure with a high degree of ambiguity
  • Demonstrated analytical, financial, problem solving, organization, and project management skills to include stakeholder and meeting facilitation skills.
