A Brief Overview

The US LBM Manager of Door & Millwork Manufacturing is a partner and advisor to Region and Division leadership who will provide objective analysis and insights and execute on strategic initiatives. This position will lead new projects, process improvements and customer experience enhancements. This person will drive business outcomes by building the strategy framework, translating strategies into actionable and quantitative operational plans and managing executions of identified operations activities.

What you will do

  • Oversight and long-term strategic planning to the US LBM organization by partnering with Region and Division leadership to achieve the goals and objectives of the company

  • Build relationships with operations management and our vendor partners

  • Evaluate market strategies and provide the overall direction for manufacturing operations

  • Follow industry trends and market changes. Pursue market development opportunities

  • Identify and evaluate growth and profit opportunities

  • Develop enterprise-wide processes and best practices

  • Develop culture of adoption for Best Practices and strong process controls that support operational excellence

  • Partner with the Business Process and Biztrack teams to standardize the manufacturing facilities

  • Attract, develop, mentor, and retain manufacturing talent

  • Motivate and mentor management including division manufacturing team members

  • Review financial results with the use of analytical tools for the purpose of measuring, explaining and implementation of action plans to continuously improve performance

  • Conduct financial reviews of operations and markets to improve efficiencies of business units

  • Develop and deploy manufacturing KPI's and tools across the organization

  • Drive a heightened safety and quality culture within the door and millwork manufacturing facilities

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in a strategy/operations role with proven track record of successfully developing business plans and procedures

  • Plant Management experience

  • Product Management

  • Business Process Engineering

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to influence teams.

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Ability to drive manufacturing strategy and motivate teams.

  • Strong research and strategic analysis skills.

Travel Requirements

  • More than 50% travel expected.
