Job Description

Position Summary

Apply knowledge of business and technology to allow for the development of integrated solutions to resolve technical and business issues. Serve as a liaison between internal customers and functional IT departments during the initial phases of development efforts for various business initiatives. Following BA principles and accepted methodologies, define the system and functional requirements of technical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Apply working knowledge of systems and business analysis to analyze and develop integrated solutions to resolve technical issues for small to medium sized custom development projects
  • Assist senior level Business Analysts in requirements gathering and research support for larger, more complex projects.
  • Assist in the analysis and design of new business processes around requirements definition, information gathering, and consistent documentation methodologies.
  • Using multiple information gathering techniques, facilitate meetings with customers to define detailed business requirements for solution development.
  • Manage all activities of a Scrum team including but not limited to Daily Stand Ups, Planning, Grooming and Retrospectives.
  • Create a relationship with the Scrum Team which fosters mutual respect
  • Serve as the business expert for the Scrum Team, negotiating priorities with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Develop precise documentation of prioritized business requirements that can directly be converted to user stories, test plans, and system conceptual designs.
  • Assist in translating requirements and user stories to the developers, ensuring there is a clear and concise understanding of requirements.
  • Review test conditions and expected results for product, performance and user acceptance testing.
  • Continue to build on technical and business knowledge to better understand the linkage between business and technology.
  • Participate in quality management reviews as outlined in the project work plan
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 3-5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
  • Finance acumen and data & analytics skills preferred.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI or similar tool is strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of desktop software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • May require knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments.
  • Able to demonstrate ability to solve somewhat more complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job.
  • Must be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately.

Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $60,700 to $93,500 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future.At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. RRD's benefit offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts.
