Security Officer - Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Fayetteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail and/or mall location, you will help manage entry points, issue and verify badges, and monitor access activity while maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms and access issues, and communicate clearly with store teams and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, supported by Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and integrity-driven team culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and store associates by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail mall location.
• Perform access control duties by monitoring entrances and exits, checking identification and/or credentials as required, managing visitor logs, and directing deliveries and service providers to the appropriate check-in process.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting suspicious activity, assisting with crowd management, and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, corridors, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify maintenance or operational concerns for escalation.
• Complete shift reports, incident documentation, and access records accurately and promptly, using post orders and reporting tools required by the site.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
