Pay Range: Actual pay may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for incentive compensation.

Job Summary

The Business Systems Associate will work in a world-class Security and Corporate Systems (SCS) with end to end responsibility for the Sorenson Communications Inc. 99.99%-available server and Corporate Applications environment. This environment is business critical for our communication business. This position works on a team that is responsible for maintaining and supporting internal business systems. These span multiple data centers, many remote employees, and an international customer base. They leverage latest technologies to maintain our 99.99% available service for application, data, and video.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support for business systems issues, escalating complex items to the Specialist as needed
• Document diagnostic and troubleshooting processes
• Schedule installations, upgrades, and patching in accordance with established policies, procedures and SLAs
• Execute the securing of hosts, applications and data from unauthorized access, manipulation and theft
• Manage, install, configure, patch, monitor, and support Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac, and Linux
• Monitor information technology assets ensuring the integrity and availability of data and systems and make recommendations for improvement to provide security and stability
• Provide daily operations support and maintenance for server and related information technology assets
• Resolve server related incidents to ensure 99.99% availability
• Provide on-call support as a part of the Business Systems team (on a rotating schedule)
• Execute the managing, configuring, monitoring, and supporting of systems running on VMWare ESX, or in Azure and AWS Cloud environments
• Administer and maintain Corporate Applications including O365, Vital, UKG, NICE, Concur, Dynamics CE/F&O, Jira, and others
• Assist in implementing the security controls that define the appropriate standards, policies, procedures and technologies to facilitate the management, accountability, functionality, and security of the Sorenson technology infrastructure assets
• Support current systems; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends; determine system improvements
• Partner closely with the Business Systems Solutions Specialist in the preparation and implementation of corrective action plans that address failures in systems
• Other duties as assigned

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education

Minimum of a 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Or, equivalent work experience

Preferred Certification Certifications a plus, i.e CEH, Security+, or Network+

Experience

Some Workstation and Server experience administrating Microsoft Windows Server and Linux

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Azure Portal and RSA SecureID. Also helpful to know Jira, Cisco Email Security Appliance, SendMail, Splunk, and Splunk Enterprise Security
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Workstation, Apple Mac, Linux, VMWare ESX, Azure and AWS Cloud environments, Encryption, and Certificate Management
• Knowledge of system documentation, reviewing and creating policy documentation, reviewing security controls, and risk analysis and mitigation techniques for data security
• Familiarity with attack surfaces, vectors, and methods, and appropriate prevention and response
• Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve problems
• Self-motivated and directed
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and have considerable latitude for making decisions within their unit
• Analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
• Keen attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
