| Job Description Summary: |
This Research Assistant position contributes to research/development by assisting with experiments in a controlled laboratory setting. The core responsibilities of this position include assisting with data collection and the administration of experimental procedures. This position may perform some lab maintenance duties as a secondary function. This role typically works under immediate supervision, and the primary job functions do not require exercising independent judgment. Duties include:
- Laboratory organization and assistance
- Mouse colony maintenance and husbandry
- Performs and supports research in the laboratory, including solution preparation, stereotaxic surgeries, immunohistochemistry, and mouse behavior
- Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Qualified candidates will hold a BA/BS in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. |

We seek an individual with a bachelor's degree in biology, neuroscience, psychology, or a related field. Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are preferred. Prior laboratory experience, particularly with mouse husbandry, genotyping, or behavior; stereotaxic surgery; or immunohistochemistry, is desired but not required. |
