Position Summary
The Senior Change Management Consultant will be responsible for working independently on change management solutions, ranging from small to complex projects or initiatives. The position will collaborate closely with other change managers, project leaders and business resources to support methodology and deliverables as required and ensure successful adoption of change strategies aligned with SC & RE and business partner priorities.
Defines and develops change management strategy, approach and plan for assigned projects and/or initiatives Understands and applies Prosci methodology, tools and approaches and recognizes the need for methodology customization based on culture and past project / initiative experience Articulates a compelling case for change management to project sponsors and stakeholders and can explain CM concepts relative to Return on Investment (ROI) and outcomes Understands the human dynamics of change (behaviors, mindsets and culture) Develops and executes engagement plans to prepare, equip and support others through change including sponsorship, coaching, communications, training and resistance management plans Identifies potential risks and issues and develops strategies to mitigate and manage Integrates success measures, metrics and monitors into integrated project plans to measure adoption
Responsibilities
Develops and implements change management plans for complex projects. Develops change management strategies for business group. Represents the business group's position in challenging situations. Provides counsel to management and senior leaders on related issue Develops communications, presentations, and guidance documents to ensure successful change adoption. Translates organizational needs into clear, structured plans and deliverables.
Required/Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree 4 years related work experience In lieu of Bachelor's degree(s) AND 4 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 8 year(s) related work experience
Desired Qualifications
Master's degree In addition to desired degree, 6 years related work experience Certified Change Management Professional and/or Lean Six Sigma White Belt
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Highly proficient in creating compelling visuals for presentations, brochures, newsletters and SharePoint sites. Advanced consulting skills including negotiating, influencing, working across organizations, emotional intelligence, decision-making, cultural awareness and problem solving Demonstrated ability to communicate a vision and obtain buy-in Experience with large-scale change initiatives Competency in one or more complimentary disciplines such as project management, Agile, innovation, design thinking, customer experience, training, communication, digital transformation Comfort with complexity, ambiguity and change Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives while executing on operational priorities with precision Demonstrated project management skills to develop innovative, creative ideas to address complex problems Demonstrated ability to translate organizational needs into clear, structured plans and deliverables Demonstrated proficient oral and written communication and presentation skills for communicating information and addressing issues in a clear and effective manner to varying levels of employees and management Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze concerns/issues, develop logical conclusions and make appropriate recommendations Demonstrated ability to recognize the need for enhancements to systems, programs, or applications and selection of appropriate alternatives to solve problems
Working Conditions
Hybrid Mobility Classification - Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable dailycommute to a Duke Energy facility. Office environment; 2 days remote and 3 days in office schedule reporting to the Duke Energy Plaza.
