Description

We are seeking an Associate Research Scientist to be part of the Sadelain lab studying the mechanisms governing transgene expression, stem cell engineering, and genetic strategies to enhance immunity against cancer.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will conduct research on the signaling properties of novel chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) structures and on the context-dependence of antigen sensitivity of CAR T cells targeting solid tumors.



  • Serve as a leader of a research project, reporting directly to PI
  • Provide mentorship to junior members of our lab, including PhD students, undergraduates, and early-state postdoctoral fellows
  • Perform laboratory experiments and conduct data analysi
  • Generate reliable and reproducible data
  • Design experiments and execute on protocols; propose modification to protocols as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, write reports, and prepare presentations
  • Contribute to the writing and submission of manuscripts and grant applications in collaboration with the PI.
  • Contribute to project team as well as overall laboratory organization and safety


  • MD, PhD, or both required.
  • 4-5 years of Postdoctoral training in academic environment
