Description The Service Advisor is a frontline customer engagement and consultative sales role responsible for educating customers on naturalbased plant health, lawn, tree, and pest care solutions. The position blends customer service, problem solving, and sales, with a strong emphasis on empathy, active listening, and delivering a consistent experience across all interactions. Team members support inbound customer inquiries, manage web leads and SELL! No prior industry experience is required. Training is fully provided through hands-on, in-person instruction until the advisor is confident and independently productive. Customer Interaction & Advisory Conduct customer needs assessments around lawn, tree, and pest concerns Provide clear explanations of natural-based treatment options Ensure a consistent customer experience regardless of who takes the call Consultative Sales Recommend service packages aligned to customer needs Close sales in real time or through follow-up conversations Manage upfront and residual commission workflows Document customer interactions accurately in the CRM Team Collaboration Engage in a proactive, supportive team environment Communicate effectively via phone, email, and text Participate in ongoing coaching and development sessions Skills customer service, sales, microsoft office, outbound calls, retail sales Top Skills Details customer service,sales,microsoft office Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience Requirements: - Customer-facing background preferred (phone or in-person) - Basic proficiency with standard office tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office) - Must be 18+ and hold a valid driver's license Nice Haves: - Bilingual (English/Spanish) - Interest in environmental or plant-health-related topics Essential Skills: Excellent active listening and communication Empathy and strong customer service instincts Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Motivation, discipline, and team orientation Ability to operate in a structured, high-volume environment Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Barrington, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
