This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to RN's with greater than 1 year experience

Spring Harbor Hospital, located in Westbrook, Maine, is currently seeking to add an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to its Intensive Care Unit. This is a 6-bed general adult psychiatric unit, which serves patients who may have experienced acute psychiatric illnesses and any other co-occurring disorders. It will provide a low stimulus environment focusing on both safety and symptom stabilization with the goal of transferring the patient to another adult unit when appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, great communication skills and the ability to work with a team of dedicated members. This role allows you to provide highly individualized care to our communities most acute psychiatric patients and their symptoms.

Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: One year of recent RN experience preferred.
