Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Supervises and directs both clinical and administrative personnel, including scheduling and coordinating activities, conducting performance reviews, providing training, etc. Participates and/or leads a variety of staff meetings, including treatment planning, case review, committee meetings, departmental meetings etc. Plans and implements unit programming, including identifying and addressing trends, addressing problematic issues with existing programs, developing new programs/services, and assisting with Division planning. Monitors fiscal performance and effectiveness of unit and maintains accurate related documentation. Provides community education and public relations support for unit's clinical programs to EAPs, other agencies, referral sources, and local community. Ensures unit activities adhere to state and Joint Commission licensure standards and participates in licensure review activities. Identifies unit training needs, develops corresponding training programs, and implements the programs. Interviews and hires new staff and handles personnel issues and grievances.

EDUCATION

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field plus licensure from the appropriate KY Board.

EXPERIENCE

  • Three to four years clinical experience with a supervisory background, and experience with program management including budget preparation.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant client population characteristics, and related therapies and treatments.
  • Thorough knowledge of state and Joint Commission licensing requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good public speaking abilities.
  • Good supervisory skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Position has no unusual physical demands. Typical office environment.

Within the bounds of their respective job descriptions, all staff are expected to exercise principle-centered leadership, focused on customer service responsiveness, with a continuous quality improvement orientation. Additionally, all staff are expected to develop a working knowledge of and follow all policies and procedures related to safety management and other Joint Commission standards.
