Position Summary

The HACCP Clerk will manage the organization and flow of master document revisions for the facility, update the master file, and send notifications of changes. This role works closely with the department supervisors, other department leads, and processing team members, in order to accomplish accuracy within the processing department and to ensure that our customers receive quality products. This position executes processes that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, supporting Foster Poultry Farms' mission, vision, and ACTION guiding principles: Accountability, Collaboration, Truth-Seeking, Initiative, Ownership, and Nimbleness.

Essential Functions



  • Manages the organization and flow of master document revisions for the facility by revising documents as needed and on a schedule.
  • Updates the master file and sends out notification of changes as well as triggers scheduled reviews of documents.
  • Creates and provides reports to FSQA Department to ensure information is up to date and audit ready.
  • Manages the Convergence training system by creating and managing group reports and creating site specific training to upload into the system to ensure completion of requirements under BRC and IFS.
  • Track and Monitor QA Holds.
  • Maintain records for Quality and Food Safety Audits and assist in those audits.
  • Facilitates and manages customer requests for our Identity Preserve Programs.
  • Leads special project assignments as necessary requiring extreme attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of the QA programs.
  • Serves as back-up the Quality Supervisor when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.



All personnel employed or associated with Foster Poultry Farms are responsible for the quality and food safety of company products. The food safety and quality policies are summarized and communicated in a company handbook and at training sessions. Each new hire is provided a handbook and attends a food safety training session before beginning work. All employees attend a refresher training session at least once per year. Records are maintained reflecting the distribution of employee handbooks and attendance at the training sessions.

Physical Requirements

Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:



  • Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours on a wet concrete floor
  • Must be able to withstand a cold (40-48 degree) environment.
  • Must be able to withstand a hot (80+ degree) environment.
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to push, pull, bend, kneel, and crouch/squat.



Qualifications



  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and E-verify.
  • Must be able to read and write English.


  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be about to perform basic math functions.
  • Must be able to comprehend equipment manuals and instructions.
  • Must be able to use welding, power tools, and cutting equipment.
  • Must have a solid understanding of OSHA standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels including management.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Decision making ability for the flagging of deviation from procedures.
  • Able to work safely and set an example of safe working habits for their coworkers.
  • Must be able to safely operate forklift and/or pallet jack.
  • Must be able to pass company Forklift assessments to obtain company issued Forklift license.
  • Must wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems preferred.
