Molecular Technologist I Job Locations
US-NY-Rye
Responsibilities As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for molecular analysis of blood samples from patients and donors for clinical and research purposes. In addition, you will oversee sample receipts, DNA and RNA extractions, perform PCR-based laboratory developed tests and automated tests, as well as sequence analysis. NYS Restricted License are not accepted. Responsibilities include:
Perform genomics testing including sample receipt, DNA extractions, RNA extractions, and PCR-based testing that includes PCR-RFLP, AS-PCR, and array technologies.
Qualifications To qualify, you must have a Bachelors' Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Science or related field, 0-3+ years' experience in a laboratory setting. New York State Medical Technologist License is required, as is knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and Microsoft Office Suite. Solid oral/written communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed hourly salary is $46.67/hr. to $64.40/hr. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
