You Are: We are seeking a highly experienced engineer to support platform-level Power and Thermal software validation and debugging. This role focuses on deep system analysis, workload optimization, telemetry analysis, and close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to improve platform efficiency, stability, and performance. The opportunity: * Collaborate with internal customer-focused teams to replicate, analyze, and debug power and thermal issues * Perform impact assessment of functional bugs on system performance and power behavior * Work closely with IP, SoC, and software engineering teams to drive continuous improvements in platform engineering methodologies * Develop and optimize power and thermal solutions for various workloads * Design and tune stress workloads to support TDP, nTDP, power states such as Pmax, and Turbo Check * Fine-tune register settings and improve software data path flows * Drive telemetry analysis to identify inefficiencies and abnormal behavior * Perform platform-level debugging to identify root causes and resolve power and thermal failures * Resolve functional, triage, and performance-related power and thermal issues * Support software and platform-level testing and validation activities * Provide clear technical updates, documentation, and status reporting This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required. What you need: * Strong programming experience in C/C++ and/or Python * Scripting through Linux CLI * Experience in software testing and platform-level software testing * Strong understanding of power and thermal behavior at the system and platform level * Hands-on experience with telemetry analysis, register-level tuning, and performance optimization * Proficiency with version control and CI tools (Git, GitHub, Jenkins or similar) * Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills * The candidate must have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field * 9+ years of experience in the following areas: * Telemetry analysis, register-level tuning, and performance optimization * Functional, triage, and performance-related power and thermal issues * Platform-level debugging to identify root causes and resolve power and thermal failures * Python or C/C++ * Linux CLI Scripting Benefits Employees receive eleven (11) paid holidays, two (2) weeks of paid vacation per year, and are eligible for health, dental, disability and life insurance.
