Salary range:
The annual salary range for this position is $55,000 - $58,600. The posted UC salary scale set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. Application Window Open date: February 3, 2026 Next review date: Tuesday, Mar 3, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Tuesday, Jun 30, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Junior Specialist position in the Beier Laboratory in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, School of Medicine, University of California, Irvine. Applications are sought from candidates with a BS and/or BA degree with a strong laboratory research background, publications, and specialized training in biology, biomedical sciences, or related fields. At least one or two years with wet lab research is strongly encouraged. Research will be related to Alzheimer's disease, substance use disorders, depression, or pain. This is an ongoing recruitment. Position is dependent on extramural funding. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal will be dependent on availability of support. Salary will be based on University of California guidelines for the Junior Specialist and will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
