Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care based on individual need according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols, under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse and within the scope of the practice of the Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Completes all documentation within departmental requirements and timelines.
  • Responsible for directly observing and assisting patients who are at risk to cause injury to themselves or others.
  • Assumes responsibility for own clinical competence and development.
  • Participates in the responsible management of all healthcare resources.
  • Participates as a contributory member of the interdisciplinary team
  • Provides direct personal patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse within the scope of practice of the Certified Nursing Assistant.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the State of Idaho.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Experience as a nursing assistant.
