The Opportunity: Executes day-to-day inventory objectives by following a varied set of procedures related to stock accuracy, inventory reconciliation, material movements, and system updates. Addresses unexpected inventory shortages, mismatched records, or urgent fulfillment issues. Communicates with both internal teams, such as warehouse operations, procurement, and production, and external contacts, like suppliers or partners, to obtain or provide inventory-related information often requiring explaining data discrepancies, clarifying inventory availability, or coordinating adjustments across systems or departments to maintain inventory integrity and support operational continuity.

Education: High School education or GED required.

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar position preferred.

What you'll be doing:

Warehouse material handlers' essential duties are to perform various tasks in the warehouse such as but not limited to:

  • Maintains and updates inventory records.
  • Creates efficient and accurate inventory management procedures.
  • Reconciles inventories to book records and make adjustments when necessary.
  • Coordinates the annual physical inventory procedures.
  • Performs weekly cycle counts and makes system adjustments as necessary.
  • In conjunction with DC Supervisor, implements a loss prevention program.
  • Makes recommendations to the DC Supervisor on programs to improve inventory management.
  • Maintains tight security over the inventory.
  • Ensures that only authorized personnel have access to inventory records.
  • Conducts any search to locate products within the system.
  • Adjusts records when there are discrepancies and takes steps to correct and prevent discrepancies.
  • Supervises the inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs, including weekly and monthly reports.
  • Develops a program to audit returns and move returned product to its proper location.
  • When necessary, processes proper documentation to generate a prompt credit transaction.
  • Takes appropriate action on product that is not in saleable condition.
  • Develops all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts and adjustments.
  • Communicates timing of physical inventories and any variances.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

2. Filing freight claims on damages both inbound and outbound in a timely manner

5. Researching/resolving inventory discrepancies and delivering timely feedback to Supervisors/Associates in turn contributing to the location accuracy metric
6. Providing real time resolution for EWM fall out on inbound issues
7. Providing real time resolution for EWM fall out on outbound issues

a. Stock check
b. Invoice review
c. Finding packing slips
9. Creating customer complaints and returns for unauthorized returns
10. Setting up and processing vendor returns
11. Monitor Aged Purchase Orders
12. Monitor product in F2/P2
13. Dated Walk Off
14. AP/Buyer emails (stock check inbox)
a. Stock check
b. Invoice review
c. Finding packing slips
15. Stock check inbox monitoring
a. Customer service emails
b. Category management emails
c. AP emails
16. Coverage for other coordinators
a. Pick exceptions
17. Day to day troubleshooting (UOM questions, product questions, receiving requests)
18. Coordinates quarterly E&O disposal and stock adjustments
19. Provides quality assurance (QA) info on product lot numbers and expiry information for product recalls.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$41,000.00 - $66,125.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
