What We Do Goldman Sachs Asset Management's Quantitative Equity Solutions (QES) team delivers bespoke investment solutions to High Net Worth, Institutional and Retail clients. The team oversees over $220BN across 60,000+ customized portfolios and a range of fund solutions. We design and employ highly scalable portfolio management systems to create equity-based strategies including customized direct indexing separate accounts, derivative income ETFs, and exchange funds. Strategists on the Quantitative Equity Solutions team leverage quantitative techniques to develop models and analytics that power our investment strategies and generate insights for clients. Who We Look For We seek someone with strong quantitative reasoning and programming skills who is excited to integrate cutting-edge technologies (including artificial intelligence) into our business to systematize processes and increase scale. You will work closely with experienced quantitative strategists to deeply understand the portfolio construction and optimization problems that we face and then develop production software systems that automate manual processes. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, collaborative, and driven to leverage technology to add value. Responsibilities
- Leveraging cutting-edge technologies (including artificial intelligence) to scale our business
- Collaborating with various teams and developing sustainable production systems, which can evolve and adapt to changes in our fast-paced, global business environment
- Developing rigorous and scalable data management/analysis tools to support the investment process.
- Transforming concepts and ideas into robust software leveraging object-oriented or functional programming languages
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative or engineering field, e.g. mathematics, physics, statistics, quantitative finance, computational finance, computer science, engineering
- Strong quantitative reasoning and programming skills
- Interest in developing expertise in quantitative models and analytics
- Interest in developing robust software
- Interest in financial markets and keen to understand all facets of the Quantitative Equity Solutions business.
- Great communication skills (written and verbal)
- A self-starter, should have the ability to work independently as well as thrive in a team environment

Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$130000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
