Mountain Youth Academy is centrally located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are a 120-bed residential treatment facility and assist in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for our young adolescent patients.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe healthcare environment in accordance with infection control standards and hospital policies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and public areas
• Properly sanitize high-touch surfaces throughout the building
• Replenish supplies such as soaps, paper products, and trashbags
• Use cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment safely according to OSHA and hospital guidelines.
• Follow proper hand hygiene and personal protective equipment

• Must have the ability to interpret and communicate/read/understand in English in written and verbal material to perform essential job functions
• High school education or equivalent preferred
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred
