As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Day Shifts in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong presence and communication. You will monitor assigned areas, respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance, document activity, and deliver customer service with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Maintain an armed post in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and use of force guidelines, including positive identification and appropriate escalation and de-escalation techniques.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and local public agencies when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents and patrol activities, and communicate security-related information to supervisors and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
