Job Description




As a Security Officer - Refinery Patrol Driver in Bay Saint Louis, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed driving Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and incidents, and deliver clear, professional communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating site notifications, documenting actions taken, and coordinating with local emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading and unloading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and deliveries; help to enforce sign-in and/or escort requirements based on site rules.
  • Complete accurate shift activity logs and incident reports, report maintenance issues such as lighting and/or fence damage, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnovers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Security experience of 6+ months is required.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
