Security Officer - Retail Outlet Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Outlet Patrol in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support shoppers and tenants with clear communication and a helpful, customer-focused presence. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and partner with site teams to resolve concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail and shopping center location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with site leadership and local responders as needed.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns; complete accurate documentation such as activity logs and incident reports per Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Support access control and crowd management during peak shopping periods and special events, assisting with directions, lost and found inquiries, and customer concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Lift Up to 20 lbs - preferred.
• Guard Card/License - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
