Staff Research Associate 3 for NGS, Technology Center for Genomics & Bioinformatics (TCGB)

The Technology Center for Genomics & Bioinformatics (TCGB) provides next-generation sequencing (NGS) and data analysis services to more than 300 UCLA investigators, supporting cutting-edge research across the biomedical community. We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Research Associate to join a team that is dedicated to delivering high-quality sequencing services and innovative assay development. Primary duties include:

* Perform library construction workflows, 10x Genomics single cell sequencing, and spatial gene expression assays.

* Lead junior SRA staff in pre analytical and post analytical activities, including specimen access and processing, equipment operation and maintenance, troubleshooting, and routine laboratory bio safety and maintenance tasks.

* Assist the Core Director in developing and optimizing new and existing technical procedures and applications.

* Support the implementation of new assay platforms, sequencing technologies, and laboratory development projects.

Salary Range: $ 69,752.83 - $112,171.84/year

* Familiarity with a broad range of molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, reverse transcription, in vitro transcription, PCR, and qRT PCR.

* At least 3-years' experience with NGS sequencing platforms within a genomics core lab environment - highly preferred.

* Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, genetics, or biotechnology - preferred
