Business Development Manager - Third PartyRemarketing

About the Role

We're looking for a driven relationship builder to join our team as Business Development Manager - Third Party Remarketing. In this role, you will develop Third Party Remarketing relationships externally through prospecting, lead generation, analytics, proposals, negotiations, and onboarding new customers. You will also lead the team of professionals who support Third-Party clients to deliver a superior client experience. This is a U.S. home-based position supporting a rapidly growing organization in a unique industry.

What You'll Do

  • Drive wing-to-wing sales processes including prospecting, lead generation, sales calls, data analysis, proposal preparation, negotiation, and onboarding new clients.
  • Research and contract new clients with owned vehicles and repossessed assets and enroll them in Remarketing Servicing to generate service revenue.
  • Develop and execute an annual strategic plan with defined milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Support and advance a strategic plan focused on vehicle remarketing aligned with organizational goals.
  • Design and implement marketing campaigns and auction promotions and evaluate and price vehicles for sale.
  • Ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency of vendors used for asset disposal.
  • Communicate frequently with clients verbally and in writing regarding asset disposition.
  • Understand prospect business objectives and translate them into solutions benefiting both the client and Element.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, clients, and internal partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of vehicle remarketing and sales experience, including auction operations.
  • Experience representing vehicles at live and online vehicle auctions.
  • Knowledge of asset sales processes and procedures and ability to accurately price vehicles.
  • Experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, and manufacturer warranties with strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to travel to auction locations, conferences, and other business events up to 25-30% as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: College/University degree preferred.
  • Lifecycle knowledge of asset configurations and impact on resale values.
  • Knowledge of vehicle manufacturers and upfit processes.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Location: Remote United States

The hiring base salary range for this position is $132,000 - $181,500 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
