These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

Job Description

The Vice President, Events for Fashion's MAGIC, PROJECT and OFFPRICE brands is a key leadership role responsible for driving the success, growth, and sustainability of our event brands. This position emphasizes strategic direction, financial performance, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver innovative, high-impact events that align with customer needs and market trends. The VP will lead with a focus on profitability, operational excellence, and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability across teams and brands.

This role requires a visionary leader who can balance strategic growth, financial accountability, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional events that drive customer loyalty and brand value, within assigned brands and across the Fashion business.

Responsibilities

Growth & Strategic Direction

  • Shape and execute event strategies aligned with company goals and long-term growth objectives.
  • Drive innovation in event formats, exploring new ways to engage audiences and deliver unique value.
  • Identify and maximize revenue opportunities through new partnerships, sponsorships, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Leverage customer feedback and data to refine strategies, ensuring relevance, competitiveness, and continuous improvement.

Financial Accountability

  • Own the P&L for assigned events, providing actionable insights to finance and leadership on opportunities, risks, and forecasts.
  • Support financial planning and monthly forecasting, ensuring events remain within budget and on track for profitability.
  • Design optimal event floor plans and activations to maximize revenue while enhancing customer experience.

Customer-Centric Event Design

  • Develop immersive, interactive event experiences that meet customer expectations and deliver measurable ROI.
  • Engage directly with customers and attendees to understand their needs and preferences, incorporating insights into event strategies.
  • Ensure all events align with market trends and deliver clear value propositions for attendees and exhibitors.

Leadership Communication & Collaboration

  • Act as a senior leader, setting clear expectations and fostering alignment across finance, sales, retail, marketing, education, operations, and other departments.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on event goals, timelines, and financial performance.
  • Lead and mentor the events team, providing regular feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities to drive high performance.
  • Collaborate across brands and functions, contributing to Fashion's overall success while maintaining accountability for assigned events.
Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a commercial role within the events industry, ideally in Fashion.
  • 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams in collaborative, hybrid work environments.
  • 3-5 years of P&L accountability and budget management experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to use data to guide strategy and decision-making.
  • Creative thinker with a track record of identifying innovative solutions in competitive markets.
  • Proven success in generating sponsorship revenue and building long-term partnerships.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
  • Strong leadership and culture-building skills, with a focus on motivating teams to achieve high performance.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30%).

The salary range for this role is $170,000-230,000 plus bonus, based on experience.
