Job SummaryThe Disputes Specialist is responsible for receiving, processing, and tracking disputes while maintaining Reg E guidelines and compliance. Performs other projects and duties as assigned. Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities Processes chargebacks and exceptions on debit card disputes. Make daily general ledger entries, reconcile, and balance reports. Receive, research, and respond to all dispute related inquiries and Salesforce cases. Processes the FIER Report daily. Follow steps to block debit cards that have confirmed fraudulent activity. Ensure that all relevant reporting, record keeping, and record retention are following the bank's retention schedule. Pull the Mass Exchange GL Report to verify merchant's refund is credited back to customer. Pull the Non-Post GL report and post credit or debit transactions to a customer's account. Process all applicable disputes within compliance of Regulatory and Nacha Guidelines. Create service tickets to vendor FIS via Client Portal. Process month end volume reports. Strictly adheres to Bank Secrecy Act requirements and applies organizational policies and procedures in all activities. Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Detail oriented, with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Intermediate computer proficiency. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products. Able to research and investigate transactions for commonality in a timely manner. Knowledge of general accounting principals, debits and credits. Industry and Work Experience Banking experience required. 1-2 years' banking experience in a debit card environment preferred. Accounting experience preferred. Work experience leading projects or functional teams preferred. Academic High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
