The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Student Research Worker assisting with data curation and quality control, performing differential expression and differential abundance analyses, and supporting pathway enrichment and biological interpretation. They will be supervised by the principal investigator and the researcher.

Responsibilities



  • Supervised by the PI and will be involved in organizing, analyzing, and interpreting high-dimensional transcriptomic and metabolomic datasets.,
  • Assist with data curation and quality control,
  • perform differential expression and differential abundance analyses, and supporting pathway enrichment and biological interpretation.
  • Perform integrated multi-omics analyses linking gene expression and metabolite profiles at the pathway level
  • Assist in generating publication-quality figures and concise results summaries.,
  • Participate in lab meetings.
  • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.


Minimum Qualifications



  • High School Graduate or Equivalency required.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Major in bioinformatics, biostatistics, biology, data science, public health, or a related field, with foundational knowledge of molecular biology and metabolism.


Other Requirements



  • HIPAA Privacy and Security Essentials Training.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain clear records, and work in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
