Take a look at this opportunity with our Engineering & Facilities team, which is seeking a passionate individual, to fill the role of our Maintenance Planner II. This role is an advanced technical role responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining maintenance planning processes across Prolacta's facilities. The Maintenance Planner II role expands various initiatives such as strategic spare parts management, reliabilityfocused maintenance improvements, and coordination of small facility and equipment projects for the Maintenance department. The Maintenance Planner II works crossfunctionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, QA, QC, Technical Operations and Supply Chain to ensure equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and efficient execution of maintenance activities. This role also supports the development of maintenance metrics, continuous improvement initiatives, and CMMS enhancements.

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling



  • Plans and schedules preventive/corrective maintenance and calibrations for critical plant equipment, including bulk processing tanks, filling and packaging equipment, CIP systems, utilities, facilties and electrical control systems.
  • Develops detailed job plans including labor estimates, materials, tools, safety requirements, and documentation.
  • Reviews work requests for accuracy, scope, and priority; ensures alignment with production schedules.
  • Analyzes backlog, schedule compliance, and labor utilization to drive continuous improvement.



Spare Parts & Inventory Optimization



  • Leads the development and implementation of spare parts strategies for critical assets.
  • Establishes and maintains min/max levels, reorder points, and stocking strategies based on equipment criticality and usage trends.
  • Works with Supply Chain and the Facility Maintenance Manager to improve spare parts storage, labeling, BOM accuracy, and inventory control.
  • Identifies obsolete, slowmoving, or highrisk parts and recommends corrective actions.



Reliability Engineering Support



  • Partners with Engineering and Reliability teams to refine PM/PdM tasks based on failure modes, historical data, and equipment performance.
  • Conducts or supports root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures.
  • Assists in implementing reliability tools such as FMEA, RCM, and conditionbased monitoring.
  • Tracks and reports maintenance metrics/KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, and downtime trends.



Small Facility & Equipment Projects



  • Coordinates smallscale facility improvement projects, including scope development, vendor coordination, and schedule tracking.
  • Supports equipment installations, relocations, and upgrades by preparing job plans and ensuring readiness.
  • Ensures project documentation, drawings, and asset records are updated in the CMMS.



Technical Documentation & Compliance



  • Maintains accurate and compliant maintenance records in accordance with FDA, cGMP, and SOP requirements.
  • Verifies mechanical and electrical drawings for accuracy; updates redlines as required.
  • Ensures job plans incorporate safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Supports audits by providing maintenance records, calibration data, and equipment history.



Vendor & Contractor Coordination



  • Coordinates onsite support from vendors and contractors for calibration, maintenance, and equipment services.
  • Ensures contractor training, project scheduling, and equipment planning are aligned with site requirements.



Other Responsibilities



  • Identifies areas requiring repair or potential risks to product or employee safety.
  • Attends required training and meetings.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.



What you bring to the role

Education & Experience



  • High School diploma with 7+ years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or supply chain in a technical environment.
  • Associate degree in business management, supply chain, engineering, or technical discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain, engineering, or technical discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a regulated environment (FDA/PMDA, cGMP, biotech, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing) strongly preferred.



Technical Qualifications



  • Strong knowledge of production equipment including process tanks, critical systems, filling and packaging equipment, and CIP systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, electrical and mechanical drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs with minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrated experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning best practices.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering concepts (RCM, FMEA, RCA) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of spare parts management and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with databases, queries, pivot tables, and charts.
