What to Expect

The Integration Engineer is responsible for leading technically challenging forums and cross-functional correlation efforts to support 4680 cell product/process/manufacturing changes and development.

Kato (Fremont, CA) is a development-heavy site where different programs are at different levels of program maturity requiring technical engagement, cross-functional leadership, and lots of coordination. Working with safety, design, manufacturing, quality, production, engineering, NPI, and service departments, you will lead cross-functional teams to ensure validation targets and data correlations have been fulfilled for change/trial/builds in intention of scaling.

What You'll Do
  • Develop a deep understanding of our cell product design and manufacturing processes to technically inform impact of changes and correlations/relationships between product/process/performance
  • Lead/Inform DOEs to ensure data-driven approach to trials/builds/experiments; Lead data reviews of documented test results to inform conclusions to draw back to respective programs and maintain records
  • Lead/support program trials/builds/development efforts across different levels of maturity (A/B/C-Phase Builds, Development builds or DOEs, etc.); coordinate cross-functional effort within our existing manufacturing systems
  • Lead data analysis efforts, querying cross-shop and correlating data with respect to product/design/performance; Establish workflows or systems to enable Kato as a development site to thrive in high-quantity high-complexity trials
