As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist guests and tenants with customer-focused service, and communicate clearly with site leadership. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and requesting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, corridors, exterior walkways, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions such as loitering, disruptive behavior, suspicious packages, and/or property damage, then report concerns per site procedures.
• Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership, and support opening and/or closing routines as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
