As a Security Officer - Industrial Gatehouse Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location in an access control role, greeting visitors, verifying credentials, managing entry and exit, and monitoring activity to help spot and help to deter security-related concerns. You will complete routine checks, document events, and communicate clearly with site teams while delivering strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, supported by our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies at an industrial location, including directing visitors, contractors, and drivers to the proper check-in areas.
• Control access at entrances and/or gates by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and coordinating with site contacts for approvals.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic for personnel and delivery vehicles, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report access control issues according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities and communicating with site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, document observations, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
