Plant Operations (Facility Maintenance) Director Opportunity

Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Dover, Delaware area. Dover Behavioral Health System features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. The Facility Maintenance Director is responsible for delivering comprehensive Environment of Care services for the Hospital ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and care. This includes leading a team of maintenance technicians and housekeepers and overseeing the safety, security, and purchasing responsibilities for the hospital. This role partners closely with other hospital leaders to ensure the hospital meets all regulatory expectations and that our patients and staff are always in a comfortable environment.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or trade school degree preferred, High School diploma required
  • A minimum of five years' experience in plant, building, equipment and utility maintenance required with at least one year of management experience
  • Must have experience with The Joint Commission, Life Safety Code and OSHA regulations
  • Work hours include day, evening, night and weekend availability due to potential for emergencies requiring immediate attention
