Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking an Intern to join our Summer 2026 Rising Talent Program in Indianapolis, IN. This role will report directly to the Program Manager supporting the RECITE (Reimagine, Collaborate, Innovate, Transform, Evolve) SAP S/4HANA implementation program.

The RECITE program represents a transformational initiative for dormakaba North America, implementing a modern SAP S/4HANA enterprise resource planning system across multiple sites. As a Recite Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting Wave 2 implementation activities at our Indianapolis location, scheduled for go-live in January 2027. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business development, program management, and organizational change management within a global enterprise technology transformation.

The Recite Intern will work closely with cross-functional teams including Global Process Owners, change management specialists, and technical workstreams. You will contribute to critical program activities that support business readiness, user adoption, and successful system deployment. This role provides exposure to enterprise-level program management, strategic business development, and the organizational dynamics of large-scale technology implementations.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $19.00-$23.00/hr (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

What you will do
  • Gater data and analyze the business challenges alongside subject matter experts. Drive evidence-based decision-making that helps design a new process.
  • Schedule routine check-in meetings with your supervisor to monitor the advancement of assigned projects.
  • Attend weekly lunch and learn sessions where you will get to learn more about a business topic of the week! Some examples of past topics include: Presentation Skills, Environmental Health and Safety, Our Products, Finance 101, etc.
  • Deep dive into data and use evidence-based decision making that helps design a new process, introduce new technology, re-imagines the way we collaborate, or positively influences our culture.
  • Sit in on meetings both within and beyond your designated role to broaden your engagement.
  • Collaborate with other interns on projects.
What we require
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and Spring 2029
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks (May-August 2026)
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Indianapolis, Indiana for the duration of the internship (100% on-site)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team environments and independently when needed
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
What we prefer
  • Coursework in Business Administration, MIS, Organizational Development, International Business, or related fields
  • Exposure to ERP systems, particularly SAP
  • Understanding of change management principles
  • Experience in international business or global operations
  • Prior internship or project experience in program management, business analysis, or technology implementation
