STS Technical Services is hiring a Workforce Planning Analyst to support forecasting, capacity planning, and performance analysis for high volume operational environments in Warren, Michigan. This role plays a critical part in aligning staffing strategy with demand, improving efficiency, and driving data backed decision making across the business.

Position Overview

The Workforce Planning Analyst is responsible for forecasting contact volumes, staffing requirements, and production metrics across daily, weekly, and monthly intervals. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to analyze trends, evaluate operational changes, and support short and long term planning initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Forecast interval, daily, weekly, and monthly contact volumes, handle times, staffing needs, and production metrics by group
  • Report actual performance versus forecasted volumes and identify variances
  • Create, modify, and maintain forecasting models based on changing operational assumptions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate the impact of proposed operational or contact center changes
  • Partner with data providers to improve data accuracy and forecasting reliability
  • Work with supplier performance and business performance teams to identify efficiency improvements
  • Perform detailed analyses, develop conclusions, and present findings to leadership
  • Monitor industry trends, forecasting tools, and best practices to continuously improve processes
  • Support short term and long term financial forecasting and budgeting initiatives
  • Generate data driven solutions to support cost savings and operational efficiency
  • Hold business partners accountable to forecast assumptions and performance targets
  • Provide variance analysis to evaluate forecast accuracy and performance trends
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools that track forecasting results and operational insights

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred, but not required with relevant experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of forecasting, workforce planning, or reporting experience outside of accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to technical and non technical audiences
  • Experience working with operational or contact center data preferred

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Experience with Minitab
  • Familiarity with Clarabridge
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI
