Mercury Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer III to develop the next generation of Mercury's industry-leading edge processing solutions. In this role, you'll be part of a Systems Engineering team working within our Integrated Processing Solutions business unit designing, integrating, verifying, and delivering rugged, embedded systems. You'll be working in a matrix organization as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team while collaborating with Line of Business Chief Engineers, systems engineering, program management, business development, operations, supply chain, and executive leadership to meet customer needs.



Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Science degree or higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline.
  • Typically requires 3+ years of Systems Engineering experience spanning capture, design, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Experience in System Engineering activities such as business development support, customer engagement, operational concept development, functional/physical architecture definition, requirements development, trade study execution, interface definition, verification and validation, technical baseline management, and transition to production.
  • Experience with customer artifacts / reviews such as CDRL / SDRL and SRR, PDR and CDR.
  • Experience with working independently and with limited oversight.
  • Experience working with Business Development developing bids for capture (BOE), and writing technical/management volumes.
  • This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced degree higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline.
  • Familiarity with high-speed sensor processing chain.
  • Experience RF/EW/SIGINT high-performance embedded processing systems, server systems.
  • Familiarity with high-performance RF and digital processing solutions/radar and EW systems
  • Familiarity with FPGA/CPLD and CPU/MCU processing systems.
  • Familiarity with System Security Engineering principals.
  • Experience and understanding of the complete program lifecycle.
  • Understanding and experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience with Cameo Enterprise Architect and SysML modeling (or equivalent).
  • Experience with Jama, Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket.
  • Experience working with Business Development in providing technical leadership, developing bids for capture (BOE/ROM), and writing technical/management volumes.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management or Cost Account Manager (CAM).
  • Ability to work multi-disciplined engineering problems and foster collaboration across inter-Business Unit/Line of Business boundaries.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel, up to 15% of the time.

Pay Grade Range
Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position
* $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
* $84,000.00 - $168,000.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
* $88,500.00 - $177,000.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
