Overview
Microsoft's Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) team is responsible for constructing and managing the datacenters that are essential to powering Microsoft's cloud business. By anticipating and provisioning for ongoing scaling, we play a pivotal role in enabling a significant portion of Microsoft's revenue through its Commercial Cloud. The CO+I Engineering team (CO+IE) delivers services, applications, and automation supporting datacenter planning, construction, and operation. We own a large portfolio of services, including workflows that enable predicable, lowest cost datacenter construction, telemetry systems that drive high availability and optimized energy usage, and task and performance management applications that help our operation run as efficiently as possible. CO+I Engineering is a competitive advantage for Microsoft, and an important pillar in its cloud success. Our core infrastructure supports IT technician experience, working across several business areas including Deployment, Break Fix, and Decommissioning. Each of these stages is crucial to the day-to-day processes happening in data centers, and with the growth in demand for OpenAI and other partners Microsoft works with, building efficient and scalable solutions for each of these areas is essential. As a software engineer in CO+IE, you will be responsible for end-to-end deliverables with a high degree of visibility. You will be responsible for envisioning, designing, coding, validating, and deploying new features from the ground up, working with PMs and business partners to deliver features. Be prepared to work at a fast pace, while keeping security, accessibility, and scalability in mind. If this sounds like a good fit for you, please apply - we're excited to meet you! Responsibilities
