Position Summary The Department of Systems Biology, AlQuraishi Lab, is seeking a full-time, temporary Research Associate to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to assist computational scientists in designing algorithms for predicting interactions between globular domains and short linear interaction motifs using deep learning algorithms operating on the sequences of proteins and biomolecules. Responsibilities Contribute to the design of machine learning algorithms for protein interaction prediction. Contribute to the curation of datasets for performing machine learning. Perform data analysis in the context of protein structure design. Generate machine learning algorithms using PyTorch. Understand research questions and apply proposed solutions, including application of quantitative frameworks to generate quantitative solutions. Work effectively and collaboratively with a highly multidisciplinary team. Effectively plan activities, dividing complex projects into specific tasks. Perform other related duties as assigned.
