Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Laboratory Supervisorto oversee the Point of Care Testing Program that services various MSK locations.

Role Overview:

  • Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Point of Care Testing service to ensure efficient and effective operations and to meet the needs of the physicians and patients using the services.

  • Own the daily operations of the Point-of-care service, including oversight of Standard Operating Procedure development, review of Proficiency Testing, device troubleshooting, and new device development and implementation.

  • Serve as direct supervisor for a team of technologists, providing direction and leadership. Duties include staff scheduling and assignments, timekeeping, mentoring, and performance assessment.

  • Collaborate with and support Point of Care Testing end-users and super-users across the MSKCC enterprise.

  • Conduct on-site visits to MSKCC regional and off-site locations where Point of Care testing is performed (Manhattan, New Jersey, Long Island, and Westchester).

  • Provide additional oversight for Point of care testing services and compliance with training, competency, education, and regulatory documentation requirements.

  • Perform administrative duties, including payroll approval, review of reagent and supply orders, competency tracking, and preparation for inspections and accreditations for The Joint Commission, NYSDOH, and CAP.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree clinical laboratory sciences required

  • 6+ years of relevant experience required

  • NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required

  • Point of Care experience required

  • ASCP preferred

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday with weekend rotation (Day shift)

  • Location: 327 E. 64th Street, New York, NY

  • Reports to: Manager, Laboratory Medicine

Pay Range: $122,800.00 - $196,500.00 FSLA Status: Exempt
