Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring MTS Silicon Design Engineers to: Be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. As a key contributor, you will focus on RTL design and validation of high-speed interfaces such as chip-to-chip interconnect, both on system and on package, and highly configurable multi-protocol PHYs. Work with functional verification team to meet coverage and quality standards. Analyze/fix Lint and CDC/RDC errors of the components. Develop and validate timing constraints involving multiple clock domains while working with physical design to harden IP. Help to improve/automate design process. Support post-silicon product bring-up/debug. Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Oversee definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development. Determine architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation. Define module interfaces/formats for simulation. Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use. Work with cross-functional teams including engineers to develop ASIC/layout design, working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Utilize knowledge of or wide-ranging experience with computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, design techniques, tools, and principles to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Travel required: NO Qualifications: Degree required Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field. Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Three (3) years of experience in job offered or closely related engineering role. Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role. Specific skills required: The following skills are required: Position requires three (3) years of experience in the following: 1.Designing and implementing the functionality of digital logic circuits using a hardware description language, such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog; 2.Developing a microarchitecture specification that serves as the blueprint for hardware implementation; 3.ASIC design tools, such as synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, or static timing analysis (STA); 4.Scripting in Python or Perl; 5.Using Unix or Linux environment for task automation, running simulations, and managing design flows; and 6.Debugging silicon chips (integrated circuits). #LI-AM4 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
