Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Rounds in DAKOTA CITY, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and provide clear customer service and communication to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the food and beverage facility, production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas and perimeter as permitted by post orders.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, visitor logs, shipping and receiving documentation and/or appointment verification per site procedures.
  • Monitor assigned areas for unusual activity, unsecured doors, broken seals, spills and other conditions that may require reporting to site contacts.
  • Perform rounds that include checking critical doors, gates, fences, docks and exterior lighting, and report maintenance concerns through established channels.
  • Assist with traffic flow and staging of trucks, employee vehicles and visitor vehicles as directed, supporting orderly movement at entrances and loading areas.
  • Document incidents, observations and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements.
  • Communicate with site personnel and supervisors by radio, phone and/or other approved methods to coordinate response to issues and requests for assistance.
  • Support emergency response activities such as evacuations, severe weather procedures and medical response notifications according to post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
