RN- Berryhill Center

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

The Clinic RN works collaboratively with psychiatric providers, reception and scheduling staff, care coordinators, and other team members to maintain and improve quality outcomes and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients medical and behavioral health needs.
  • Provide whole person, integrated care with primary focus on the treatment of mental health conditions within an outpatient clinic.
  • Purposefully conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner in support of the organization's commitment to ethical behavior in all areas of personal and professional activity.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatric providers, reception and scheduling staff, care coordinators, and other team members to ensure client needs are met.
  • Job tasks include rooming patients, completing health questionnaires (vital signs, medications, mental health symptoms, concurrent physical health or substance use disorders, etc.), processing refill requests, communicating assessment results, lab reports, pharmacy inquiries, and client concerns with psychiatric providers.
  • Demonstrates a positive cooperative attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to change to meet department goals.

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of accredited nursing program required

Experience:

Experience working with in medical clinic, home health, hospital or nursing home.

6 months experience providing behavioral health services required.

License(s)/Certification(s):

Possess current RN licensure in the State of Iowa

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to delegate wisely, exercise good judgment, maintain good interpersonal relationships, adapt to change, evaluate critically and think creatively. Individual will demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to adult and geriatric patients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Individual will demonstrate effective written and verbal skills allowing communication with physicians, co-workers, other clinic/hospital personnel, as well as the public. Position requires good organizational skills.
